What is ITI Full Form, Types ?

ITI Full form is Industrial Training Institute and it is responsible to provide education to students related to industry. The Industrial Training Institutes are worked both as Private and Government. Basically the students who have passed 10th board exam and want to go in the technical field may join ITI course. Some ITI courses are just after 8th class .

Students coming from the poor family who can not afford higher education , they join to ITI courses for short term income. These technical courses are designed to equip the students in the field of technology rather than perceiving higher education.

Industrial Training Institute is formed by the Directorate General for Employment and Training ( DGET) , Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship to provide the technical education to the students.

Course Duration :

Basically the students who join the Industrial Training Institute (ITI full form) must be prepared for work. These candidates are ready to do industrial work .

In India there are both Government and Private institutes providing technical courses. The ITI course duration varies from 6 months to 2 years. The duration of the courses depends upon the types and trades of the course. Each and every trades have their own time period.

In India there are both government and private institutes that provides ITI courses. Candidates have to clear the All India Trade Test (AITT) after completing the course and a National Trade Certification is provided to the qualifying students . That means the candidates are ready to join the industrial work.

Different Types of Industrial Training Institute (ITI full form) course:

Basically the industrial course is divided into two types

  1. Technical ITI course trades
  2. Non- Technical ITI course trades

So in technical trades the candidates will learn the technical skills that means the engineering skills where the non technical trades student learn the skills that are not related to technology.

ITI Courses Eligibility Criteria :

The candidates who want to join Industrial Training Institute (ITI full Form) must have some basic eligibility criteria these are given below

  • Candidates must have completed the 10th board exam from any recognised Boards from any state.
  • He/ She must have an aggregate mark of 40% in their Board exam.
  • The candidates age must be in between 14 years to 40 years .
  • He/She must be an Indian Citizen
