What is RTO Full Form in English and in Hindi ?
RTO Full Form in English is Road Transport Office or Regional Transport Office. Where as RTO Full Form in Hindi is क्षेत्रीय परिवाहन कार्यालय . All these regional offices has supreme power over the Drivers of the automobiles and database management of the Vehicles by providing them license and permits .
Details about the RTO :
RTO is a government organisation . It is a regional office which is controlled by the state government. For the first time RTO was formed in Madras ( now Chennai ) in 1921 to control the road transportation by registering the vehicles and issuing Diver’s license.
Now a days , all the states have their RTO ( -Regional Transport Office ) to control and manage the road transportation by registering the automobiles by providing the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) badge. This badge contains all the information regarding the driver’s license , , driver’s name. and other vehicle related information.

What is the Role of RTO (Regional Transport Office) ?
In India , each and every state has their own regional transport offices or road transport offices ( RTO Full Form). These RTO primary work is to maintain and way forward the Vehicle database and Drivers Information. In India each Regional Transport RTOs provides their driving permissions paper along with a smart card , with in their jurisdiction.
This Smart Card is called as Driver’s license . Along with this RTO also provides a Paper permit such as the registration paper to authorised owner of the vehicle . These are called as RTO Papers and very necessary for the person .
Now all the states of India launch their digitized RTO documents. The people can keep their RTO papers along with their Driving license in the RTO Official Application , M Paravian. Now the government of India launched a new application called Digi locker in which one can keep their all the documents online, no need to carry the hard copy of the papers.
