PM Jan Dhan Yojana Details :
In rural area there are millions of people who have no bank accounts. They save their daily earnings either at home or near local landlords. Also they can not get banking financial services. Jan Dhan yojana typically aimed to help such people by opening a Jan Dhan Yojana account.
Jan Dhan Yojana aims to provide many financial benefits like bank accounts, remittances, credit options, insurance and pension schemes.

The main aim of Jan Dhan scheme is to provide financial benefits to the rural poor. Jan Dhan Yojana benefits are given below;
Opening of A Bank Account :
Under this scheme any person can open a Jan Dhan Acoount with minimum documents. If a person having no valid documents then special provision should be made to open an account. No one can lag from opening of account.
Maintaining of Account balance :
Jan dhan Account can be opened with a minimum balance that may be zero. If any person wants a cheque book then he may keep a minimum balance. The interest is provided on the basis of amount deposited in the savings account.
Debit Card :
After opening of account a debit card is to be provided to the person. The card can be used to withdraw money across all ATMs of India. Insurance for Accident covers for 1lakh with this Rupay debit card. This insurance sum increased to 2 Lakhs opening account after the date of 28.08.2018.
Life Insurance Cover :
The members who opened their bank jan dhan accounts before 26th January 2015 get an insurance cover of Rs. 30,000. It may require some terms and conditions to fulfil.
Overdraft Facility :
The person after opening of bank accounts can avail a overdraft facility of Rs. 5000 . Jan dhan Account must be six month older for overdraft facility. This scheme will provide a loan of Rs. 5000 aimed to provide financial help to poor people.
Mobile Banking Facility :
A simplest mobile banking facility will be provided to the person for smooth banking transactions. So that people can use simple phones for transferring funds easily from their accounts.
More Jan Dhan Yojana Benefits :
The jan dhan account holders are eligible for different banking services. Like Direct Benefit Transfer, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, MUDRA schemes.
Documents required for Jan Dhan Account:
To open a Jan Dhan account, some minimum documents are required these are given below;
- Adhaar card
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- Voter’s ID
- PAN card
- Ration card
- Any other identity cards or documents issued by government .

- If the person has no valid residential address proof then certificate issued by Tehsil office will be required.
